Why Silver Plated Picture Frames?
A few years ago, I realized that I had gotten behind on
keeping my photos in good order. There were plenty of photos lying around, both in envelopes and on my computer's
harddrive that I really wanted to show off and share, but I had simply never gotten around to it! I finally decided
to do something about that, but rather than slide them into scrapbooks to be forgotten, I decided to invest in a
lot of silver plated pictures frames instead! When I went looking for them, I found that they were wonderfully
reasonably priced, and they added a certain panache to the room as well!
I started out by getting some
very small frames, ones that could
c
omfortably hold snapshots or
pictures that were even smaller. I found that while I could stick with the regular rectangular frames, I could
easily branch out and look for less standard frames as well. For instance, there were a series of three small oval
frames that look lovely clustered together on the wall. Similarly, there were also hinged frames plated in silver
as well, and these small frames could hold two pictures and be opened up to bring back some happy
memories.
Though I started off with
thinking about getting framed photos for home, I found that I could easily extend the trend to my workplace as
well. Though I had previously just had pictures of my family tacked up in my cubical, the pictures were beginning
to curl and tear and I was never really sure about how professional it was. I brought in my silver plated frames
and after a lunch hour spent with some scissors to trim the photos down to size, I had a set of professional
looking picture frames filled with smiling pictures of my family to keep an eye on me as I went through my day's
work!
Don't forget that meaningful
pictures that are presented in nice frames can be wonderful gifts as well. Not terribly long ago, we went on a
beach trip with my sister and her family, and when I found those pictures, I simply put them into frames and sent
them to her. They were a nice gift that reminded her of the good times that we had shared, and even better, it
didn't cost me an arm and a leg.
Remember that you should
choose silver frames that suit your tastes. They come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, and though I prefer the
smaller ones, there is no reason not to look for a larger one for a full family portrait as well! There are a
number of different options open to you when you are thinking about framing your beloved pictures, and if you want
a festive sparkle, you will find that you really cannot go wrong with silver plated frames!
If you are in a place where
you want to know what to do with your pictures, take some time and consider how well silver plated frames might
suit them; this can be the best way to preserve and present your memories!
